Role title
Transformation Business Analyst Operations
Your role
We are looking for operations analyst to join our Operations Change & Transformation team. Reporting to the AJB Project Manager, the successful candidate will have responsibility for defining and developing department wide business requirements for the key strategic transformation programmes within operations, including the critical Disruption Management Programme and Aer Lingus’s integration into the Atlantic Joint Business(AJB) alongside BA, AA, Iberia and Finnair.
The role will work cross functionally across all areas of the Operations department including Ground Operations, Network Airports, Dublin Hub, Flight Operations, In-Flight Services and Catering. It will involve working with cross business functions also including IT. Commercial, Strategy / Planning and Finance, in addition to all IAG operating companies, to ensure all cross group and functional inter dependencies are considered.
The Transformation Business Analyst Operations should have experience in the following areas:
- Leading and managing assigned project tasks, goals and business requirements, including responsibility for working directly with individuals or groups across operations.
- Identify the key internal stakeholder groups and build successful working relationships to ensure a unified interface to the wider operations team.
- Manage internal communications, ensuring all internal stakeholders are informed and consulted as appropriate on items of relevance through the lifecycle of the project.
- Understanding impacts and blockers on the project and defining solutions to support the project management team and other functional leads on the project.
- Understanding the impact of concurrent and future projects running in your programme of work.
- Ensuring agreed SDLC processes are being adhered to on your programme and project.
- Document existing and potential processes / operating models. Analyse the current ways of working to understand the underlying challenges and opportunities that need to be addressed and define the business and operational requirements.
- Create clear, concise and comprehensive requirements documentation, (product requirement, functional requirement, etc.).
- Implement detailed documentation of operations artefacts and best processes across your projects.
- Flagging any issues and blockers preventing you or team members from progressing or completion of work in a timely or satisfactory manner.
- Leading, contributing and collaborating on ways to improve ways of working.
- Identifying gaps across processes or artefacts and escalate for progression and discussion and development.
- Develop strong and collaborative working relationships with other departments including Technology, Finance, Commercial and Strategy.
- Serve as an escalation point on all active projects and seeks to resolve, or appropriately escalate, matters impacting overall delivery.
- To seek out and promote innovative solutions with a strong positive attitude.
Your qualifications and key criteria
- Relevant Analyst experience (3+ years).
- Process improvement experiences in an operational setting.
- Experience of waterfall and agile delivery a preference.
- Strong operational awareness & experience.
- Strong experience in successful delivery of IT/ Technology dependant projects.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills with the ability to present facts clearly and objectively.
- Experience facilitating workshops with multiple stakeholders.
- Proven experience in implementing strong process driven approaches.
- Excellent organisational and analytical skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage effective working relationships at all levels both internally and externally.
- Proven ability to work effectively under pressure and commitment to producing high quality output to tight deadlines.
- Self-motivated with a high level of initiative, commitment and flexibility.
- Enthusiastic and positive approach.
- Advanced level of proficiency in use of Microsoft Office suite – Including Project, Visio, Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- Be in possession or be able to obtain an airside security pass.
- Eligible to live and work in the EU.
- Current unrestricted worldwide passport.
