Role title
Technical Storesperson (12 Months Fixed Term)
Your role
The position is a Technical Stores Person within the Technical Stores area of the Maintenance and Engineering Department in Hangar 6 Dublin. Reporting to the Stores Supervisors and Manager, the successful candidate will have overall responsibility for the daily stores duties as outlined below in support of wider Materials and M&E operational requirements.
The M&E Department is responsible for maintaining the Airline’s fleet of aircraft in a serviceable and safe condition whilst ensuring that the fleet availability meets the OTP targets throughout the network.
The Technical Storesperson role ensures that daily duties and material handling are completed as required in the technical stores area of Maintenance and Engineering. The role includes the storage, shipping, issuing, and receiving of all parts required in support of line, check and base maintenance operations across the M&E network.
With the expansion of the Aer Lingus fleet and direct management of our component maintenance contracts, our superior approach to inhouse aircraft maintenance will generate a marked increase in the responsibilities and activity of the Technical Department which includes the Technical Stores. The care, handling and management of the Aircraft parts and general materials which are used to support the Fleet is of utmost importance. This vital work is carried out by the Stores Person.
This is a rostered position, and the successful candidates will be required to work a shift pattern dictated by operational requirements. Please note that this role is for a 12-month Fixed Term Contract.
- All line stations and check maintenance support in relation to spares supply.
- After hours AOG ordering and management.
- Collection, packaging, document preparation and dispatch of all stocks.
- Shelf life management of all stocks including line stations as necessary.
- Development and implementation of new stores working practices as defined by the Stores Manager.
- Maintenance and upkeep of the stores in accordance with IAA regulations and best practices.
- Accountable for the safe handling of deliveries and shipments of parts to and from the technical stores.
- Responsible for the shipping of all Dangerous Goods parts as required ensuring compliance with all up to date regulations.
- Responsible for the receiving of stock into the Aer Lingus system in accordance with the latest regulations and procedures.
- Responsible for the order processing and shipping of all unserviceable parts removed from Aer Lingus fleet.
- Safe escorting of all supplier and deliveries required for the M&E operation.
- Maintain the quality and standard of parts distribution throughout the network.
- Responsible for the shipping of AOG parts NOTOC in accordance with up to date regulations and in collaboration with relevant internal parties.
Your qualifications and key criteria
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain positive working relationships.
- Self-motivated, flexible and adaptable with a positive attitude and excellent organisational skills.
- Proven technical ability with a good aptitude for technical tasks and logical problem solving.
- Well-developed computer skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft Word/Outlook/Excel/AMOS.
- Prepared to adopt a hands-on flexible approach while working on your own initiative and as part of a team.
- Previous experience of working in a warehouse or stores.
- Ability to work across a 24-Hour roster period.
- Hold a full clean driving licence.
- Current unrestricted worldwide passport.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- Well-developed IT skills with broad system/IT knowledge: Microsoft outlook/Word/Excel/Amos.
- Eligible to live and work in the EU.
- Able to pass an aviation security vetting process, that includes an enhanced background check* or be in possession of a current airside pass for the airport as this position is based in Dublin.
- Provide 3 verifiable references.

Desirable criteria
Knowledgeable and experience of AMOS Goods inwards procedures.
Ability to understand and interpret relevant Goods
Inwards paperwork such as EASA Form1, FAA 8130,
CAA and C of C documentation.
Knowledge of MOE requirements.
Knowledge and experience of logistics processes.
Knowledge of AMOS maintenance system.
Experience in the shipping of Dangerous Goods.
Understanding the certification and regulatory
requirements for handling of aircraft of parts IAW
EASA Part 145 Materials Management.
Ability to manage multiple projects at once and
strong technical knowledge of warehousing
procedures.
Forklift licence.
