Role title
Technical Standards & Safety Engineer
Your role
Reporting to the Head of Technical Standards and Safety, the Technical Standards & Safety Engineer will play a key role ensuring airworthiness standards are maintained and that operations are carried out at the highest safety and compliance standards. This Role has been created to assist the Technical Standards and Safety team in ensuring airworthiness standards are maintained and conducting safety investigations.
The Technical Standards & Safety Engineer should have experience in the following areas:
- Perform continuous review of maintenance and engineering operations to provide assurance that operations are carried out to the highest safety and compliance standards.
- Perform internal audits for compliance against regulation and procedures as applicable.
- Facilitate ACAM audits by the IAA and coordinate response from Aerlingus to ensure compliance.
- Facilitate IOSA audits by IATA and coordinate response from Aerlingus Maintenance and Engineering to ensure compliance.
- Conduct safety investigations on all areas of M&E activity and compile reports.
- Provide feedback to management and engineering personnel on safety investigations.
- Support the management of non-conformances and assist auditees in timely, effective and appropriate Root Cause, Corrective and Preventive Actions.
- Actively contribute to and support the wider management team on compliance related issue across a range of projects.
- Prepare compliance reports for Nominated Postholders (Part CAMO and Part 145) and accountable manager.
- Oversight and processing of internal procedures for the Part145 and CAMO organisation.
- Ensuring regulatory requirements are considered when publishing company procedures and regulatory manuals, including CAME and MOE.
- Regularly reviewing of regulatory requirements and ensuring senior management are informed of these changes.
Your qualifications and key criteria
- Part 66 licence or engineering degree or 2 years relevant work experience.
- Knowledge of EASA Part 145/CAMO regulations & SMS systems.
- Aircraft maintenance and engineering experience.
- Understanding of maintenance and engineering operations.
- Understanding of compliance and quality systems.
- Understanding of SMS systems and investigations.
- Clear analytical approach with attention to detail.
- Enthusiastic, flexible and adaptable with a positive attitude to change.
- Proven decision-making skills and a keen desire to take ownership of activities.
- Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively at all levels of management.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- Enthusiastic, flexible and adaptable with a positive attitude to change.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain positive working relations at all levels.
- Self motivated with the drive, energy, enthusiasm and commitment to achieve results.
- Enthusiastic team member with a flexible attitude in providing support across a range of activities.
- Eligible to live and work in the EU.
- Hold a current unrestricted worldwide passport.
- Able to pass an aviation security vetting process, that includes an enhanced background check* or be in possession of a current airside pass for the airport as this position is based in Dublin.
