Role title

Technical Library Manager

Your role

As a Technical Library Manager, you will be primarily responsible for continuously providing the M&E department and contracted maintenance providers with the latest technical manuals and data to ensure all work carried out on our aircraft meets regulatory compliance standards. Our Maintenance & Engineering Department helps us to drive Aer Lingus’ ambition by ensuring a safe, reliable, and efficient fleet, supporting on-time performance, sustainability goals, and operational excellence.

 

Your responsibilities as a Technical Library Manager will include:

  • Manage the Technical Library team to ensure publishing of Technical Publication is performed in a timely manner and in line with documented processes.
  • Responsible for the performance management of the Technical Library Team.
  • Ensure new and evolving work practices and process/procedural changes in are adequately risk assessed in accordance with the CAME.
  • Management of personnel reporting to him/her, allocation of duties and performance of competency assessments as detailed in the CAME.
  • Support the Technical Librarian in processing and distribution of 3rd party vendor documentation.
  • Oversee the publication of technical documents to the Publications Portal and ensure all are accurately tracked in AMOS for version control and compliance.
  • Manage the distribution and read receipts for all 3rd Party documentation through AMOS and our Techweb.
  • Manage the timely uploading of Airbus Airnav - X databases to our internal Airnav - X servers.
  • Manage the updating of Airnav - X software including testing and issue resolutions.
  • Support regular audits of all published Airbus documentation on Airbus World to ensure compliance.
  • Support Quality Audits and any finding resolution activities.
  • Liaise with 3rd party vendors to support the M&E department with any queries regarding published documentation.
  • Additional duties when required by CAMO management.
  • Lead the implementation and integration of digital solutions within the Technical Library, ensuring alignment with project stakeholders and driving innovation across processes.

Your qualifications and key criteria

We are looking for an individual with experience / qualifications in the following areas:

  • Excellent I.T. skills.
  • Good knowledge of CAMO Technical Library processes and managing Digital Documentation.
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent attention to detail.
  • Good interpersonal, written & verbal communication skills, and capable of dealing with people at all levels, both within & outside Aer Lingus.
  • Ability to work on own initiative, whilst contributing effectively as part of a team.
  • Experience in people management.
  • Experience with Microsoft applications SharePoint and Excel.
  • Ability to take initiative in maintaining and improving library systems, processes, and resources.
  • Familiarity with Aircraft Technical systems (AMOS and Airbus AirNav - X) would be an advantage.
  • Experience using the Document Management System “Document” would be an advantage.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
  • Eligible to live and work in the EU.
  • Current unrestricted worldwide passport.
  • Provide three verifiable references.
  • Able to pass a five year security background check as this role is based in Dublin.

Desirable criteria
