Reliability Specialist
Your role
The Reliability Specialist works under the direction of the Reliability Team Lead and carries out the day to day running of the Reliability Programme for A32F aircraft and A330 series.
EASA Part CAMO approval is an integral part of the Aer Lingus AOC. The Technical Services Department is responsible for continued compliance with Part M/Part CAMO and the Continuing Airworthiness Management Exposition (CAME), of which the Reliability Programme is a core function.
The purpose of the Reliability Programme is to highlight technical issues that affect the reliability and safe operation of the Aer Lingus fleet, to determine when and what corrective action is necessary, to monitor the effectiveness of that corrective action and to ensure that the aircraft Approved Maintenance Programme (AMP) tasks are effective and that their periodicity is adequate.
Your responsibilities as a Reliability Specialist will include:
- Responsible for working in accordance with CAME, Company manual procedures, and reliability manual.
- Investigate root cause of aircraft technical delays, and correct coding of aircraft delays.
- Provide daily reporting of aircraft dispatch reliability metrics.
- Support the delivery and/or redelivery of aircraft, such as document inspection, physical aircraft/engine inspections and presentation of continuing airworthiness records etc.
- Support Line and Base Maintenance to ensure aircraft serviceability and provide support to other departments in Aer Lingus as necessary (including Materials, Quality, CSRO, Planning, Ground Operations, Flight Operations, Finance).
- Process TAQs assigned to the Reliability department
- Liaise with OEM, National authorities, Part 21 and other external agencies as required to ensure continued airworthiness, support and compliance.
- Collate of all data relating to fleet reliability.
- Manage the Reliability Manual.
- Produce a Reliability Report based on the
- Attendance at meetings of the Reliability Review Board and presentation of relevant information.
- Maintain the minutes of Reliability Review Board meetings.
- Present any reliability/historical information as required by maintenance personnel.
- Liaise with Compliance and Safety Officers in relation to closing audit findings and attend safety meetings.
- Maintain a detailed knowledge of current CAME and related procedures.
- Attend Morning Meeting, as required.
- Close business cases or HIRA as required.
- Knowledge of Safety Management Systems (SMS) and carrying out risk assessments.
- Effectively address assigned non-conformances in a timely manner.
Your qualifications and key criteria
We are looking for an individual with experience / qualifications in the following areas:
- Hold a 3rd Level Engineering Degree or an EASA Part 66 B1 or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years working experience in an aircraft Technical Services environment, preferably within an airline, MRO or leasing company with a background on A320/A330 aircraft with CFM/CF6 engine types.
- Strong working knowledge Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, Teams etc).
- Working knowledge of AMOS Maintenance Information System.
- Knowledge of Airbus Technical Documentation.
- Knowledge of PowerBI.
- Experience in Data management or Analytics
- Experience in writing technical work instructions and technical reports.
- Experience in interpreting Manufacturers Publications.
- Excellent understanding of aircraft regulatory requirements
