People Analytics Specialist
Your role
The People Analytics (PA) Specialist is responsible for delivering insights & supporting data-driven decision-making within the People team. They will extract, transform & analyse people data & create meaningful reports to drive operational efficiency, workforce planning, & strategic HR initiatives. They will be the main point of contact for IAG people related data and reporting. This role is critical in ensuring the People team overcomes challenges related to data access, quality, & outdated technology systems.
The People team is on a journey which will see significant investment into our HR Technology, improving our data, reporting & analytics in the long term. The PA Specialist to support on the development of a data strategy, as part of the PA team and CDTO colleagues. This data strategy will build the plan for data migration, data integration and best practice analytics to be delivered as part of the technology investment.
Role Responsibilities:
- Partnering with the business to understand their people analytics and reporting requirements to assess data availability, and deliver in conjunction with other stakeholders e.g. HRBP
- Prioritise automation and leverage technology, using automated data feeds and dashboard creation for recurrent and commonly used people data analysis
- Identify inefficiencies and data gaps in the current business model/processes and support implementation of solutions to those inefficiencies.
- Leading EI People team submission to IAG People Insights team, responsible for coordinating the EI input for quarterly non-financial reporting, financial packs and all respective data transformation, quality checks, internal controls and sign offs with Chief People Officer.
- Keeping current with new analytical technologies and build protypes for continuous improvements in HR reporting, working closely with the Tech data team to keep the HR data technology automated and scalable
- Managing the creation & continuous improvement of the HR KPIs/Metrics into an integrated Tableau/Power BI tool, with automated data feeds to allow for scalability & visual dashboards for the Exec/ key stakeholders
- Maintain strong relationships with business stakeholders to ensure that the data is interpreted and validated correctly
- Act as a data champion for the People Team, supporting their journey towards becoming more data driven and self-serving with reports. This will be done through running workshops, drop-in learning sessions and continuous teaching to self-serve
- Once the HRIS has begun implementation, the PA Specialist will take the roll out of new self-service reporting capabilities across the People Team with a view of digitalising the team through introducing tools and dashboards from the new HRIS and when available BI tools such as Tableau & Power BI, with the idea to replace manual excel manipulation
- Collaborating with the HRIS team, System Integration partner and other stakeholders on data migration
Your qualifications and key criteria
- 3rd Level Degree in data analytics or equivalent4
- At least 2 years' experience in business analytics or data role including 2 years' experience with data visualisation tools (e.g Tableau, Power BI, Cognos etc.)
- Able to communicate with the ability to articulate complex ideas and concepts, with excellent presentation skills and stakeholder management
- Ability to deliver end-to-end analytical solutions – from technological change, data management and analytics and business change
- Understanding of data modelling, data integration, data quality and data governance, familiar with data and analytical technologies
- Analytically competent with experience of analysis, data collection and modelling and bringing data driven solutions to deliver business solutions
- Familiar with a broad range of modern data and analytical platforms and enthusiastic about keeping up with latest development
- Proficient working with APIs and data querying languages for data modelling and analysis
- Experience in data and system architecture would be an advantage
