Role title
LongTerm Planning Specialist
Your role
The Long-term Planning Specialist will focus on a set allocation of aircraft registrations and plan Base Maintenance and A Check. The Long-term Planning Specialist will co-ordinate with the following M&E sections to ensure aircraft maintenance is completed prior to expiry in compliance with the MPD:
· Engineering
· Materials
· Hangar
· External MRO’s
This role integrates heavily with other departments and is an integral part of the Aircraft Maintenance Planning Team
Duties / Responsibilities will include:
- Implementing approved Aircraft Maintenance Program and all scheduled maintenance to ensure compliance with all required regulations and standard
- Production & forecast of Base Maintenance and A check and above work packs
- Update of all component changes in AMOS performed during Base Maintenance/A Check visits, including Label Booking post receiving check
- Report Back of all Maintenance.
- Base Maintenance and A Check and above maintenance performed
- Auditing of Base Maintenance , A Check and Line Check work packs
- Monitor &implement Sample Aircraft Programme (E.g. Escape slide deployment)
- Liaising with the Fleet Planning team to ensure aircraft are operating on the correct lines of flying to meet operational demands, including addition of maintenance slots in AIMS
- Liaising with contracted Maintenance Organisation’s to ensure any planned work is complete and correctly recorded
- De-assignment and replanning of tasks ‘not completed’ the previous evening due to unforeseen circumstances
- Tailoring work packages in light of manpower requirements as provided by the Production Planning Team (BSI, Tap test etc.)
- Incorporating EO’s and other ad hoc maintenance requests by Engineering departments into the maintenance plan
- Ensure compliance with ETOPS from a safety/planning point of view
- Liaising with the Materials/Engineering Department to ensure all required spares and tooling are available for planned maintenance activities
- Liaise with 3rd party EASA Approved 145 organisations to ensure all maintenance activities are accomplished in accordance with AMP and Joint Procedure Manuals
- Updating of relevant Company Manual and AMOS procedures, and assisting with testing the relevant maintenance planning IT system and subsequent procedural revisions
- Liaising with internal & external stakeholders to ensure suitable aircraft downtime for scheduled maintenance, where appropriate
- Assist in all aspects of aircraft transitions concerning scheduled & unscheduled maintenance, reports, statuses, meetings and technical records requests
- Daily review of AMOS TAQs, publications & queries
- Daily reviews of the Maintenance Forecast to identify any anomalies that may be present
Production of weekly, monthly Ad-hoc reports as requested
Cooperation & support to rectify compliance/quality personnel queries, findings and NCs
Reporting all issues of significance to relevant Planning manager
Your qualifications and key criteria
We are looking for an individual with experience / qualifications in the following areas:
- Understanding of EASA Part 145 and Part M continuing airworthiness regulatory requirements
- Understanding of aircraft maintenance programmes and MPD documentation
- Competent AMOS user as required per role function
- Excellent knowledge and full understanding of all Planning procedures and competent in their use on a daily basis, as required
- Previous experience in a Maintenance Organisation
- Understanding of technical documentation utilised to support aircraft maintenance as required to effectively plan maintenance
