Role title

Line & Base Maintenance Product Dev Spec

Your role

Applications are now open for the role of Line & Base Maintenance Product Development Specialist in the Maintenance & Engineering Department. The role will report to the Base Maintenance and Workshop manager and work closely with the Continuous Improvement Manager to investigate and develop all opportunities for insourcing tasks which add value to the business. These opportunities will add value to the Maintenance transformation plan from a cost and efficiency perspective. The role will also be responsible for developing our AOG support capabilities such that we can deliver robust support to the operation when required.

 

Examples of these initiatives but not limited to are as follows:

  • In house non-destructive testing.
  • AOG structural repair capability and support.
  • Composite repair capability and new technologies with workshops and Aircraft.

Your responsibilities as a Line & Base Maintenance Product Development Specialist will include:

  • Responsibility to enhance our inhouse capabilities with the structures and composite shops.
  • Management and control of the structural and composite shops to include manpower, tooling spares, tech data etc.
  • Investigate all opportunities which deliver value to the maintenance transformation plan.
  • Assist with the sickness and absence management.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations under the guidance of the company Health and Safety Officer and assist with investigations.
  • Support timely closure of non-conformances. Root causes analysis to improve processes and avoidance new occurrences.
  • Develop new processes and procedures that align with the regulation and the MOE. 
  • Supporting the AOG Manager with structural AOG’s at weekends and bank holidays to ensure a speedy return of the aircraft.

 

Your qualifications and key criteria

We are looking for an individual with experience / qualifications in the following areas:

  • Experience should be a minimum of 5 years within an aircraft maintenance structural/composite workshop environment with experience of managing teams of staff who must deliver a safe and reliable service to the operation.
  • Demonstrate a detailed understanding of the Maintenance operation including the strategy and vision, budget, manpower, facilities and training requirements.
  • Proven Leadership skills, strategic vision, business perspective and managerial competency.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication with external and internal stakeholders.
  • Proven negotiation skills and an ability to convey information objectively and persuasively.
  • Demonstrate decision-making and problem-solving skills with the ability to make timely, clear cut and well-informed decisions.
  • Accountable and result oriented.
  • Proven experience of effectively managing a team with the ability to motivate to meet deliverables in a dynamic, fast paced environment.
  • Experience with Aircraft Maintenance Systems e.g. AMOS, etc.
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point.
  • Must be in possession of a current full clean driving license.
  • Proven interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and work as part of a team.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
  • Eligible to live and work in the EU. 
  • Current unrestricted worldwide passport.
  • Provide three verifiable references.
  • Able to pass a five year security background check as this role is based in Dublin.
