Talent Acquisition Manager
Your role
The Talent Acquisition (TA) Manager is responsible for creating and delivering the Talent Acquisition strategy, objectives & targets for the airline.
The role will shape and execute scheduled recruitment programs & specialist/corporate recruitment, recruitment operations (incl. immigration support), reporting, TA events and pre-onboarding that support the People Strategy and ultimately the company's overall business strategy.
Working closely with senior leadership, the role holder plays a pivotal role in leading the department’s ability to source, hire & report on new hire talent for Aer Lingus.
- Devise & execute a comprehensive pre-planned talent acquisition strategies that support Aer Lingus’s overall resourcing requirements & priorities.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the CPO & Senior Leadership in the provision of strategic talent acquisition counsel, working in partnership with a wide range of internal stakeholders.
- Cultivate & maintain strong relationships with department leaders to ensure our hiring targets are aligned with commercial needs and achieved.
- Lead the Talent Acquisition department to deliver a best-in-class service for Aer Lingus, from setting OKRs, managing with a high-performance mindset, and providing strong leadership & coaching.
- Partner with the People Leadership team generally, and the HRBP and Compensation & Benefits teams specifically, to continually elevate the Talent Acquisition department to meet to the operational needs of Aer Lingus, while balancing process effectiveness, efficiencies & transformation.
- Build a data-driven TA function, capturing relevant data points across the hiring process, building reporting functionality to measure and assess progress against TA KPIs, to predict trends and integrate both internal and open-source external data, along with AI, to prescribe future TA solutions.
- Own candidate pre-boarding by developing a modern, automated and efficient process that leverages technology to enhance the candidate experience, while ensuring seamless coordination with key internal stakeholders (Learning & Development, IT Service Desk, AskHR etc).
- Drive a talent acquisition process that aligns with the Purpose, Vision, Mission & Values (PVMV) or Aer Lingus.
- Manage the strategic relationship with outsourced service providers and appraise performance in line with hiring requirements.
- Develop strategies which promote inclusive and diverse hiring processes and programmes.
- Embed regulatory requirements and standards into all TA processes while also delivering an exceptional candidate experience.
- Leverage systems to build a metric driven department which utilises feedback & data to improve aspects of the Talent Acquisition process.
- Oversee Aer Lingus workforce planning across all departments & ensure the TA department is correctly resourced to meet organisational hiring demands.
Your qualifications and key criteria
- Minimum of 10 years of experience working in Talent Acquisition.
- 5+ years people management experience (with at least 2 years leading a Talent Acquisition team / department).
- Project experience with the upgrade and/or deployment of a new ATS or HRIS platform.
- Proven experience of negotiating and managing RPO agreements.
- Experience in performance management, as well as succession & workforce planning.
- Demonstrated experience in preparing and administering an annual department budget with a cost-effective mindset.
- Ability to build and develop strong collaborative working relationships to successfully work across multiple departments and all levels in the organisation.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a high degree of commercial and numerical acumen.
- A team player with the proven ability to work on their own initiative and take a hands-on approach when required, in a fast paced & complex environment.
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task while maintaining attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Comfortable working under pressure to strict deadlines, while being adaptable to changing priorities.
- Strong problem solving and data driven decision making skills.
- Fluent level English, both written and spoken.
- Eligible to live and work in the EU.
- Hold a current unrestricted worldwide passport.
- The successful applicant will need to pass a five-year security background check and pass an aviation security vetting process that includes an enhanced background check (or be in possession of a current airside pass for Dublin Airport).
