Role title
Social Media Lead
Your role
Our Customer Department helps us to drive Aer Lingus’ ambition by ensuring exceptional customer experiences at every touchpoint, fostering loyalty, and continuously improving our services based on customer feedback. As a Social Media Lead will be responsible for leading, developing and implementing our Social Media strategy to drive growth for our brand.
Your responsibilities as a Social Media Lead will include:
- Develop and execute a successful social media strategy that drives brand awareness, preference and consideration
- Identify the relevant social KPIs that need to be achieved to unlock the next level of growth
- Manage and oversee the creation of high quality content that aligns with our brand identity
- Establish processes for uncovering the latest social media trends across all key channels
- Lead on the influencer strategy for the business; identifying the right creators that will help us to achieve our goals
- Work collaboratively with people across the business including the wider marketing team, PR and communications, customer experience and more to deliver business objectives through social content
- Work closely with our operations team, including cabin crew, pilots and ground operations to tell the stories of the people behind the Aer Lingus brand
- Measure and analyse social performance metrics to understand our audiences better, using this insights to drive higher performance
- Identify new ways to engage with current and prospective customers across all social media platforms
- Identify how to strategically grow social media presence in all key markets, with a particular focus on growth in North America
- Understand the relationship between our organic and paid social media creative, working alongside all relevant teams to ensure creative is on brand and built for effectiveness
Your qualifications and key criteria
We are looking for an individual with experience / qualifications in the following areas:
- Strong communication skills with experience of storytelling through content
- Experience managing agency relationships, designers and content creators
- Proven interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain positive professional relationships
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present complex information in simplified terms
- Proven ability to work on own initiative and as a member of a team
- High energy and passion for social media, brand and people
- Excellent project management skills
- Proven ability to identify early-stage trends in social practice and opportunities for innovation
- Experience in creative/content development
- 6 years experience in social media/digital content marketing
- Excellent knowledge of marketing discipline/processes and the social media landscape
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken
- Eligible to live and work in the EU
- Current unrestricted worldwide passport
- Provide 3 verifiable references
- Able to pass a 5 year security background check
