Role title

People Operations Support

Your role

As a People Ops Support at Aer Lingus, you will play a key role in supporting the People Organisation by managing system administration, coordinating operational processes, and providing system assistance across HR, Learning & Development, and Talent programmes. This role provides a solid foundation in People operations, with opportunities to take on increasingly complex operational responsibilities while continuing to manage core system administration tasks. You will work closely with multiple teams, coordinating processes, driving efficiency, and enabling seamless HR and operational workflows.

This role sits within the Global People Operations team which is part of the People Organisation. The position reports into the Service Delivery Lead.

 

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Administer HR and talent development systems (e.g., LMS, HRIS, LinkedIn Learning, OpenBlend), including user support, data updates, updating courses and certification and report generation.
  • Support operational HR processes such as onboarding, performance tracking, and talent programme coordination.
  • Assist in the coordination  of learning and development initiatives and training sessions.
  • Maintain accurate records, documentation, and governance for HR and learning systems.
  • Support process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and workflows.
  • Assist with project coordination, tracking timelines, and updating stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure quality and timely service delivery.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to employees and managers using HR platforms.
  • Stay up to date with system updates, best practices, and industry trends in HR operations and learning technology.

Additional Accountabilities/Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to the People Tech team where needed with system updates, testing of new functionalities, etc
  • Assist the HR Service Delivery team in managing queries, cases, and requests from employees and managers.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency across HR systems and service delivery.

Your qualifications and key criteria

Essential Qualifications/Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or relevant experience
  • Proven experience (2 years+) in HR Operations or HR systems administration or a similar role.
  • Basic understanding of HR systems, workflows, and employee lifecycle processes.
  • Familiarity with managing and supporting HR technology platforms to ensure smooth operations and accurate data.

Essential competencies/skills

  • Proficiency in using HR platforms to support operational processes.
  • Strong organisational and project coordination skills to manage HR initiatives and administrative tasks effectively.
  • Clear communication skills to convey information and support employees and managers with HR processes.
  • Detail oriented with the ability to manage accurate data, generate reports, and support operational analysis.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

 

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience supporting HR systems or HRIS administration.
  • Familiarity with HR processes across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, role changes, and offboarding.
  • Exposure to HR service delivery or HR operations projects in a corporate environment.
  • Knowledge of HR technology trends and digital tools that support HR operations
