Role title

Head of RM Shorthaul, Pricing & Systems

Your role

Aer Lingus is seeking a senior commercial Revenue Management leader to take accountability for Shorthaul RASK and revenue performance, while also leading the RM systems and best-practice capability that supports both Longhaul and Shorthaul. The role combines shorthaul commercial delivery with the leadership of system-enabled, scalable and modern Revenue Management practice.

  • Own Shorthaul RASK and revenue performance across the network, including UK/Cities and Leisure portfolios. Set trading priorities across yield, load factor, forecasting, pricing, inventory, availability, demand stimulation, competitive response and capacity deployment.
  • Lead pricing and inventory as one integrated Shorthaul revenue strategy. Ensure pricing, fare structures, inventory controls, availability and trading actions are managed together, with strong discipline, governance, competitiveness and execution quality.
  • Lead the Shorthaul and residual pricing capability through the Pricing Team Leader. Ensure pricing actions, fare structures, campaigns and execution standards support revenue priorities across point-to-point and connecting demand.
  • Manage Shorthaul as both a point-to-point business and a feeder network. Partner with the Head of Revenue Management - Longhaul (AJB) to optimise Dublin connecting flows, balance local and connecting demand, and maximise total network contribution rather than isolated route outcomes.
  • Provide senior RM input to route, frequency, seasonality, aircraft deployment and Shorthaul capacity decisions. Work with Network, Scheduling, Finance and Commercial teams to assess revenue potential, margin, competitive pressure, demand quality, yield risk, connecting value and commercial return.
  • Line-manage the RM Systems and Best Practice Manager and ensure systems capability supports both Longhaul and Shorthaul. Deliver system improvements, process change, best practice and automation as commercial enablers focused on RASK and revenue outcomes.
  • Lead business adoption and commercial application of Dynamic Pricing and related RM capability, working with Data & Digital, Commercial and external suppliers. Use Dynamic Pricing as part of a broader evolution towards more dynamic, data-led and customer-responsive pricing and offer creation.
  • Drive modern, exception-led RM practice. Simplify, eliminate or automate lower-value work, strengthen use of data and AI-enabled insight, and focus analyst time on the highest-value commercial opportunities.
  • Act as the senior Shorthaul RM voice across Commercial, clearly articulating the revenue need where initiatives affect pricing, availability, fare products, customer offer, channels or connecting flows.
  • Lead, coach and develop a high-performing Shorthaul RM, Pricing and Systems operating model. Set clear priorities, raise standards, strengthen accountability and commercial judgement, and build a positive, proactive improvement culture.

Your qualifications and key criteria

  • Significant senior-level experience in airline Revenue Management, pricing, RM systems, commercial transformation or an equivalent commercial leadership role.
  • Deep understanding of Shorthaul economics and airline revenue drivers, including RASK, yield/load factor trade-offs, pricing, forecasting, inventory control, demand stimulation, competitive response and network contribution.
  • Strong judgement in integrating pricing, availability, inventory controls and market response into a coherent Shorthaul revenue strategy.
  • Ability to translate commercial priorities into system-enabled ways of working, ensuring Dynamic Pricing, automation, data, AI-enabled insight and RM systems improve revenue outcomes.
  • A strong network and margin mindset, including understanding of point-to-point demand, connecting flows, aircraft deployment, frequency decisions, margin impact and commercial return.
  • Demonstrated change leadership, with a positive and practical approach to modernising RM, reducing low-value work, improving processes and leading teams through ambiguity.
  • Strong people leadership, including the ability to lead through team leaders, coach managers and analysts, set standards and build accountability, pace, collaboration and commercial judgement.
  • Ability to influence across Commercial, Network, Finance, Data & Digital, Revenue Analytics, Sales, Marketing, Distribution and Ancillaries, articulating the revenue need clearly and constructively.
  • Clear executive communication, translating complex market, pricing, inventory and systems issues into choices, trade-offs and recommended actions for CRO and senior stakeholder audiences.
  • Strong quantitative and commercial capability, supported by a relevant degree or equivalent career experience.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
  • Eligible to live and work in the EU.
  • Current unrestricted worldwide passport.
  • Provide three verifiable references.
  • Able to pass a five-year security background check as this role is based in Dublin.

Closing Date: 19th October 2026.
