Role title
Component Planning Specialist
Your role
As a Component Planning Specialist in the Maintenance & Engineering Department, you will manage a number of component related projects within the team and will oversee the continued compliance with the maintenance programme. Our Maintenance & Engineering Department helps us to drive Aer Lingus’ ambition by ensuring safety, efficiency, reliability, and customer satisfaction.
Your responsibilities as a Component Planning Specialist will include:
- Daily review of Repair Admin to add component call-ups to include relevant life limit requirements and modifications.
- Daily review of TAQs for AMOS updating of outstanding component label bookings, reference tree queries, Modifications requiring part number updating, etc. (anything component related with a Planning required input).
- Daily monitoring of Component related workflow emails for AMOS required updating by Planning.
- Production of Monthly reports for Lessors/OEMs on A320/A330 aircraft, engines and APU.
- Monthly cross-check of “Extras” and “Missing’s” in Assembly Configuration Management.
- Preparing data files for the loading of Component records and life information for new aircraft entering ALT service.
- Preparation of AMOS reports on request (Back to Birth /PMTS/NIS).
- Offer assistance for component related queries to Engineering, QA, Stores, Line Maintenance and Materials.
- Receiving of Landing Gear / Engine and APU assemblies and their components in AMOS.
- Production of Engine Change workpack.
- Updating of the APU Log book.
- Manage Component Forecast / shelf life expiry.
- Updating of relevant procedures, when required and assisting with testing the relevant maintenance planning IT system.
- Assist in all aspects of aircraft transitions concerning scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, reports, statuses, meetings and technical records.
- Contribute towards continuous improvement by proposing ideas to improve current M&E processes.
- Comply with relevant Health and Safety requirements.
- Reporting all issues of significance to the Head of Planning.
Your qualifications and key criteria
We are looking for an individual with experience / qualifications in the following areas:
- Understanding of EASA Part 145 and Part M continuing airworthiness regulatory requirements.
- Understanding of aircraft maintenance programmes and MPD documentation.
- Competent AMOS user as required per role function.
- Excellent knowledge and full understanding of all Planning procedures and competent in their use on a daily basis, as required.
- Previous experience in a maintenance organisation.
- Understanding of technical documentation utilised to support aircraft maintenance as required to effectively plan maintenance.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- Eligible to live and work in the EU.
- Hold a current unrestricted worldwide passport.
