Role title

Business Support Analyst

Your role

As a Business Support Analyst in our Technology department, you will play a crucial role supporting both technical and business teams through both software delivery and production. Your responsibilities as a Business Support Analyst will include:

  • Subject matter expert on data configuration of Aer Lingus (EI) systems providing data management expertise.
  • Supporting both technical and business teams through software delivery and ensuring that the team are aligned and evolving with the Aer Lingus Technology department and the Scaled Agile Framework.
  • Explore options for existing EI Tech processes and evaluate new procedures and practices with a view to maintaining and developing the Business Rules Product functions, structure, and efficiency.
  • Point of contact for interpreting business requirements and providing information and support within EI Tech for data configuration, testing and delivery to Aer Lingus systems of new and existing business rules.
  • Provide information and guidance to any Product delivery teams where they require update of existing or introduction of new business rules for of their product.
  • Understand and communicate impacts and impediments on the product delivery and contribute to definition of solutions to support successful delivery.
  • Responsible for maintaining a culture of review and continuous improvement in how Aer Lingus delivers services.
  • Responsible for collaborating and driving change, examining processes to ensure they are efficient and delivering satisfactorily to the other business units.
  • Work in a cross functional team collaborating with teams across Aer Lingus to achieve Company objectives

Your qualifications and key criteria

  • Relevant degree or equivalent Business Analyst experience (1+ years).
  • Experience working in a strong project governance environment and maintaining delivery.
  • Ability to understand technical challenges and translate them to a non-technical audience.
  • Experience gathering and analysing data from multiple database and UI sources with close attention to detail.
  • Ability to understand the technical goals\deliverables and their corresponding business value.
  • Demonstrates ability to resolve problems individually and part of a team.
  • Requires strong communications skills to deliver simple or complex information and an understanding of when each is appropriate.
  • An enthusiastic team member with a flexibility and adaptable attitude in providing support across a range of activities.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
  • Eligible to live and work in the EU.
  • Hold a current unrestricted worldwide passport.
  • Provide two verifiable references.
  • Able to pass a strict airport security vetting procedure which includes a 5-year background check* or be in possession of a current airside pass for the airport this position is based in Dublin.

*If you are a non-Irish Citizen, you will need to be in possession of a current police disclosure certificate from your home country. If you have lived outside the Republic of Ireland for more than 6 months, you will also be required to hold a current police disclosure certificate from that country/countries.
