Role title

AMOS Support Specialist

Your role

As an AMOS Support Specialist in the Maintenance & Engineering Department, you will be responsible for supporting the AMOS Administrator in day-to-day (BAU) activities and assisting the wider AMOS team in ensuring the smooth, reliable, and compliant operation of the AMOS system. The Maintenance & Engineering Department plays a key role in delivering Aer Lingus’ ambition by ensuring the continued airworthiness of the fleet, maintaining the highest standards of safety and regulatory compliance, and enabling efficient, data-driven maintenance operations.

 

Your responsibilities as an AMOS Support Specialist will include:

  • Provide operational support for AMOS, assisting the AMOS Administrator and M&E users in day-to-day (BAU) activities to ensure system stability and optimal performance.
  • Support the configuration and maintenance of AMOS modules, including the setup of parameters, data validation, and documentation of system settings and procedures.
  • Participate in the establishment and testing of new system interfaces between AMOS and other Aer Lingus or IAG applications, ensuring data accuracy and functional integrity.
  • Assist in the identification and provision of data required by M&E, Aer Lingus projects, supporting the organisation’s data-driven approach.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives, helping to streamline workflows, eliminate duplicate data entry, and promote the adoption of AMOS best practices.
  • Support the deployment and adoption of digitalisation initiatives within M&E, facilitating a paperless and efficient working environment.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining user documentation, procedures, and training materials to promote knowledge sharing and system standardisation.
  • Collaborate with the AMOS Manager, AMOS Administrator, and wider M&E teams to ensure consistent system usage and alignment with business requirements.
  • Engage with the AMOS vendor (Swiss-AS) and other third parties as required to support troubleshooting, upgrades, and enhancement activities.
  • Promote continuous learning and improvement, maintaining awareness of AMOS developments, industry trends, and opportunities to optimise system utilisation.

Your qualifications and key criteria

We are looking for an individual with experience / qualifications in the following areas:

  • Proven experience working with AMOS or a similar Maintenance & Engineering system in an airline, MRO, or technical services environment.
  • Familiarity with data management and reporting tools (e.g. Excel, Power BI, or similar).
  • Demonstrated ability to document procedures, configurations, or user guides clearly and accurately.
  • Proven ability to develop and solve complex business problems using Management Science/Operations Research techniques.
  • Proven ability to deal with change management.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills combined with the ability to build and maintain positive working relationships at all levels.
  • Ability to work unsupervised, using high level of data and digital knowledge to provide independent, innovative and reliable system support.
  • Strong administration and organisational skills, with the proven ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines.
  • Proven problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Passionate about new technologies.
  • Strong working knowledge of AMOS and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Organised and methodical approach to work, able to prioritise and manage multiple tasks.
  • Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and adopt new technologies.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to service quality and continuous improvement.
  • Fluent written and spoken English.
  • Eligible to live and work in the EU.
  • Holder of a current unrestricted worldwide passport.
  • Able to pass a strict airport security vetting procedure which includes a 5-year background check* or be in possession of a current airside pass for the airport this position is based in Dublin.
