Role title

Maintenance Control Centre Manager

Your role

As a MCC Manager, you will be primarily responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective management of CAMO technical operations, including manpower planning, procedure development, and performance reporting.  Our Maintenance & Engineering Department helps us to drive Aer Lingus’ ambition by ensuring the highest standards of safety, reliability, and efficiency in our fleet.

Your responsibilities as a MCC Manager will include:

  • Develop and manage the staffing plan and qualifications for the MCC Department, ensuring that adequate personnel are available to meet operational needs.
  • Monitor staffing levels and adjust as required to ensure optimal performance.
  • Procedures Development and Maintenance.
  • Write, implement, and maintain comprehensive MCC procedures to ensure compliance with internal and external regulatory requirements.
  • Regularly review and update procedures to reflect changes in regulations, best practices, and operational improvements.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the MCC section to increase efficiency, safety, and service delivery.
  • Oversee the performance of MCC staff, providing regular feedback and supporting their development.
  • Monitor and manage the teams KPI targets with regards to Technical Delays, AOG prevention and recovery Management.
  • Manage and mentor MCC team members, supporting their development through training, performance feedback, and career progression planning.
  • Take responsibility for closing out non-conformances identified through audits, ensuring timely and effective corrective actions are taken.

Your qualifications and key criteria

We are looking for an individual with experience / qualifications in the following areas:

  • EASA Part 66 B1/B2 licence or equivalent or a 3rd level qualification in an aviation engineering-related discipline.
  • 2 years of experience working in a Maintenance Control Centre environment.
  • 3 years of management experience within the aviation sector, preferably in a 145 or CAMO environment.
  • General knowledge of Part 145 & Part CAMO regulations.
  • Ability to read, write, and implement procedures effectively.
  • Ability to motivate and manage staff to achieve operational goals and high standards.
  • Strong knowledge of Commercial Airline, CAMO, and Maintenance operations.
  • Familiarity with MEL, AMM, TSM, and additional Maintenance Data.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization and external stakeholders.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make decisions under pressure.
  • Proficient in the use of MCC software, maintenance management systems (AMOS), and flight operations systems.
  • Experience with Airbus Aircraft or similar commercial aircraft, particularly in a 145 or CAMO management capacity.
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills to drive performance and foster a team-oriented environment.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
  • Eligible to live and work in the EU. 
  • Current unrestricted worldwide passport.
  • Provide three verifiable references.
  • Able to pass a five year security background check as this role is based in Dublin.
