Role title
Finance Business Partner Corporate Support & Sustainability
Your role
The Finance Business Partner for Corporate Support & Sustainability will provide strategic financial insight and support to senior stakeholders across Corporate Support functions (CEO, CFO, CPO, CCAO, EC). This role is critical in driving informed decision-making, ensuring robust financial planning, and supporting sustainability initiatives aligned with Aer Lingus’ strategic objectives. The role sits within the Finance Business Partnering team and reports to the Manager, Finance Business Partnering – Customer & Corporate Support. The team partners with senior executives to deliver financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting, while ensuring compliance and supporting transformation initiatives.
- Financial Planning & Analysis: Lead Month End, forecasting and budgeting processes for Corporate Support areas, including fuel forecasting, ensuring accuracy and alignment with business objectives.
- Reporting & Insights: Prepare high-quality reports and presentations for senior management, including variance analysis and commentary on risks and opportunities.
- Business Partnering: Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders (CFO, CPO, CCAO, CEO), providing financial insights and recommendations to support strategic and operational decisions.
- Cost Management: Monitor and manage Corporate Support costs; review and approve invoices and payments.
- Transformation & Project Management: Drive finance input into transformation initiatives and strategic projects, ensuring robust financial governance, tracking benefits, and supporting delivery of key milestones.
- Sustainability Support: Partner with Sustainability team to assess financial impacts of initiatives and ensure integration into business plans.
- Ad Hoc Analysis: Support business cases, investment proposals, and scenario modelling as required.
Your qualifications and key criteria
- Qualified Accountant: ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent (3-5 years post-qualification experience).
- Technical skills: Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint; experience with financial systems.
- Analytical Ability: Strong capability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to present to senior stakeholders.
- Business Acumen: Understanding of corporate functions and sustainability drivers.
- Collaboration: Ability to build strong relationships across Finance and the wider business.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- Eligible to live and work in the EU.
- Hold a current unrestricted worldwide passport.
- Provide 3 verifiable references.
- Able to pass a strict airport security vetting procedure which includes a 5 year background check or be in possession of a current airside pass for the airport as this position is based in Dublin.
